ATTORNEY FOR PROFESSIONAL CREATIVES
You're looking for an engaging speaker for your next event. Someone who knows how to educate, entertain, and shed light on the legal side of running a creative business. This page boils down the information you'll need as you're planning your event.
Who am I?
I'm an attorney who's passionate about helping bold and independent-thinking creatives. After years working in the courtroom, I decided to embrace my creative side and practice law on my own terms. I created Indie Law to give creatives a legal experience that was custom-made with their unique pain points, challenges, and style in mind. In under 6 months, the firm had served over 50 clients. Today, I work with professional creatives and protect their peace of mind through entity formation, trademark registrations, and other fundamental legal needs for small businesses.
In addition to running Indie Law, I also manage the Friends of Indie Law, a Facebook group of over 5,000 members. In that group, I talk legal tips and business lessons I've learned along the way. This group has been praised for being positive and helpful space where I deliver valuable information and facilitate powerful discussions.
I also host the Indie Show, a weekly live video series where I interview an experienced business expert and help spread their relevant wisdom to creatives.
Looking for credentials? Sure! I'm blessed to work with some of the most successful and enjoyable creatives in the country. I graduated from St. Louis University Law School in the top 20% of my class. I'm licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri, which means I've had enough bar prep studying for a lifetime. And I led over 20 retreats while in high school and college, so I've mastered the art of being an engaging speaker.
Oh, and I met Lil' Bow Wow on a plane once.
